Cheap Place in a Nice Neighborhood

Pros: Great neighborhood, walking distance to uptown and Midtown. Leasing company has been quick about any maintenance issues. I've had problems with my A/C a few times and they've come out and fixed it immediately. They got new washing machines that are free to use (dryers are still $1.25 and only take quarters.) Overall, it's Great for the price. Cons: You can hear any conversation that happens outside bc it echos. I'm fortunate to live in an upstairs apartment, because if you live downstairs ...

you can easily hear people walking upstairs. Overall, I'd recommend it and love living here, but if you do move here live the top floor.

Quiet but Noisy

The neighborhood itself is very quiet. Meanwhile, in the actual apartments, you hear every little thing from the other tenants. The walls are paper thin and the ceilings are too. You can literally hear someone's entire conversation if they are outside in the commons area. I would not recommend getting a downstairs unit. You will be highly annoyed. This is the reason i moved. And oh yeah, when it's time for your lease to be up, they schedule showings at all times of day throughout the final ...

month of your lease, including evenings while you'd like to be at home relaxing. I've never heard of such a thing. These aren't 4 STAR apartments...not even 3, so for them to feel they need to show your apartment while you're still living in it is pretty ridiculous. But hey, there's a reason the rent is cheap.
