Communication is lacking

My grandson lived here for a couple years before moving in May 2024. Communication was always an issue. Maintenance was good and responsive but communication with management was always a struggle. It was a good apartment for a single young man
I have tried repeatedly to help him get his deposit. We left the apartment in excellent condition. I can't even get them to respond. I have called repeatedly, left numerous voicemails, sent multiple emails with no response....

The manager decided to keep my deposit despite me shampooing carpets and cleaning the unit AND despite the fact that he made that decision BEFORE he inspected the unit. You might as well be resigned to just giving him the money because you won't get it back. It is not really a deposit if he randomly chooses to not return it despite your meeting your lease agreement. In addition, the bugs are out of control so be prepared to set off bombs because getting them to spray is somewhat of a chore. The ...
floor around the toilet was weakened probably from long term neglect and water damage. Keep your inhaler because mold will be your friend. Great location but not really a one bedroom, just a glorified studio. There are much better managed properties in the Maplewood area.
