Persistent AC Problems and Poor Maintenance

My experience has been very disappointing. The biggest issue is that management rarely responds to maintenance requests. We have submitted multiple work orders, but many receive no response at all, and problems remain unresolved for weeks. In addition, the air conditioning has not worked properly for a long time, leaving the apartment uncomfortably hot. Even after several maintenance visits, the issue has never been fully fixed. Avoid if You Expect Working Air Conditioning

I would not recommend living here. The AC does not work properly, and the apartment regularly reaches 80+ degrees inside, making it extremely uncomfortable to live in. Maintenance has come out multiple times, but the issue still has not been fixed. It’s frustrating to keep reporting the same problem without any real solution. Other neighbors have mentioned experiencing the same AC problems as well, so this does not seem like an isolated issue.

My wife and I retired here from the Phila.area and I was hesitant about the move but I believe living at the Pines is a big reason why I enjoy living in Virginia. I love the quiet atmosphere here . I am out all times of the day and night walking our dog and am amazed at how peaceful and quiet it is in the development .

I have lived at Pines of York for about 10 years. I raised my five children here and never felt worried about my childrens safety. The property manager and her team are great! They are very in touch with their residents needs and they put forth a lot of effort into showing us that they care. It is not unusual to see them at the front of the complex passing out breakfast bags, or taco meals for Cinco de Mayo, to residents coming in and going out of the complex. They have been great to work with, ...
along with maintenance they do a great job keeping our units and the entire grounds of the complex looking great. My kids are now grown up and out of the house, so I have moved to a smaller unit. I am very comfortable and I no plans of leaving what Ive been calling home for over ten years.

I refrained from posting this review because of the kindness of the staff. It wasn’t until an inappropriate interaction with the staff that I felt the need to post this. Honestly not a great place to live. Half naked people walking their pit bulls around the neighborhood. Loud over head jets. I’ve had 4 car crashes happen right outside my window waking me up in the middle of the night and keeping me up with the sirens, screams, and lights.

I truly enjoyed living here with nice neighbors and a very helpful and great office staff and maintenance members. It is very peaceful here and they do take care of this community. I will be moving soon with a heavy heart as I truly enjoyed my stay here. The community is great because of the surrounding areas, neighbors and management team.
