Amazing Apartment, Amazing Location!
February 15, 2021I have lived here for 6 months and cannot say enough about how incredible my experience has been. My suite is beautiful with large windows in the living room overlooking the city and Lake Erie allowing for breathtaking sunrise and sunset views. My bedroom fits a king bed and my walk in closet is large enough for a dresser and a desk. The in unit washer & dryer is extremely convenient. I have had one minor maintenance issue (Lightbulb burned out in living room) that was taken care of within 1 hour ...of notifying the leasing office. The gym is clean and is never overcrowded. Location wise, could not be more ideal. I can make it to work in under 10 minutes (at Key Tower) and there are multiple options for entertainment and dining within walking distance.Property Manager Responded

Great Apartment. Great Location. Minor Inconveniences
June 7, 2017I have lived here for 9 months ad have had a very positive experience overall. I have my disagreements with management every now and again, but overall they are as accommodating as they are empowered to be by the corporate office. Security is friendly and helpful in managing packages, dry-cleaning, and general inquiries as they can. The garage is one of the cheapest in town, and even though they tried raising the rates twice in one year it STILL would have been the cheapest. However, after ...feedback from residents the price raise was delayed indefinitely. Maintenance is prompt and as helpful as they are empowered to be. I have had no problems with their fixes whether I am in the apartment or not. Emergency maintenance is also very responsive. The unit is as well constructed as any new, residential convert is anymore. Appliances are modern and functional. Cabinet storage is adequate for a one-bedroom unit. Closet is spacious and fits my large wardrobe with room left over for auxiliary storage. Bathroom is large and functional with adequate storage and a linen closet. The living room / kitchen area has a wall of windows with gorgeous views (depending on which side of the building you are on). The only down side to these is the heat loss in the winter (there is roughly a 10 degree difference between the thermostat in the hallway and the window area). The bedroom, however, is interior and therefore unaffected by this. I live on the second floor near the weight room, and occasionally notice some noise form this, but overall the noise level is much quieter than expected.If I am near the door i can sometimes hear some shuffle in the hallway or the bump of someone upstairs or to the side, but never obscene noise. Speaking of this, the weight room is more than adequate for the routine workout. The party room on the 4th floor is spacious and nice for the occasional community event as well. Overall, if you are looking for a professional, welcoming apartment for a fair price in the downtown area, look no further. I have friend that live in apartments all over the city and still plan to stay here for the duration of my stay in the Downtown area.Property Manager Responded

The sum is better than the parts
September 22, 2015Overall, living at 1717 is a positive experience. The views are amazing with huge windows in the living room, the design is modern, and you are downtown near countless things to do and places to go. There is even a deli in the lobby, and parking is attached to the building. The use of space is interesting as you have a unnecessarily huge bathroom space and massive walk in closet at the cost of living room space. Also, you can tell that they finished a new floor every two weeks. Walls are ...quite thin, many sockets aren't aligned right so often you have to force plugs in or sometimes won't even go, paint missing in a few areas and small things like that. Nothing that really ruin the space, but small nuisances that keep it from being great. Support is pretty poor, as if you submit a ticket or ask a question, expect to ask a few more times and try to find the answer yourself if possible, as the usual return on a question to the leasing office is over a week, and a ticket to support is 2 weeks to a month. Most fabulous place to live in Downtown Cleveland!
August 16, 2015Residences at 1717 is a haven of peace and quiet in the busy downtown area. With a fully equipped gym, this building provides all the luxuries for downtown upscale living. Jessica and Rita, the building managers, are such sweethearts and really take the time to listen to their residents. Great new apartment!
July 29, 2015I have been living in the Residences at 1717 by K&D for almost 8 months now and it has exceeded my expectations. I was looking for something that was newly constructed for my wife and I. We came across the 1717 building and we knew it was it. It is not directly in the middle of downtown which is great for traffic reasons but you are still able to walk to any place you would want to.
