Lived in lots of apartments across the country, this is the WORST experience

After two years of horrifying stay at Sierra Madre, managed by Anchor Pacifica, it was finally time to leave. It may be due to the old age of this complex that, it constantly had pest problems/leaking toilet/poor insulation (hot summers of indoor temperatures of over 95 and cold winters of indoor temperatures of below 55)/frequent shutdown of water across the complex/noisy street noise, etc. The other worst aspect of my time of stay was the change in management. Given this apartment is very old ...

and run down, tenants get charged for all past wear and tears done by previous tenants. It is not surprising to see many reviews from other tenants saying that they got charged for damages they did not make. Honestly, I question the ethicalness of this company. And just like any other company trying their best to keep their reputation straight, they are going to say all negative reviews do not honestly reflect the true condition and circumstances. Maybe they should stop doing unjustified things to up their reputation instead.

I just went through the most horrible experience with this place. I had agreement to move into a unit at a certain price and then had it raised a few times for different apparent reasons (e.g. the system raised the rent based on current market, refrigerators are extra, etc.). And, I was actually at the complex to sign and move in when I got the last rent increase. This place is very unprofessional and shady in how they do business.

Fairly basic apartments, amenities vary, a decent deal for the area. Walking distance to grocery store, drug store, gym etc. nice pool area- again low frill but clean. Had a very nice water feature until drought but have maintained the greenery as best as possible under water restrictions (just no babbling brook at the moment) overall:clean, maintenance/manager easy to reach and personable, pet friendly, quiet, safe area

This condo had 3 bedrooms 2-1/2 bathrooms with an airy and bright den upstairs. Living room with 'L' connection of dinning room is on the first floor. A big kitchen with an eating area that opens to the back yard with the exact right size. Just a small patio for seating area and the rest clean grass all over the yard.
