Horrible Customer Service

My wife and I walked in today with our son for a viewing as we are looking for a new place to call home. We walked in to the leasing office and we were greeted with a short Hello by a leasing agent as she was speaking to a resident having a casual conversation. We then started looking at pamphlets patiently waiting by her desk to remain in sight. 15min pass by and another resident walks in. He walks up to their desk and joins in on the conversation. Meanwhile we are still waiting for a signal ...

that she will be with us soon. Nothing. I then hear one of the residents there tell the other, well I'll let you guys chat, and walks away. The resident remaining who walked in after us then sits down at her desk and makes himself comfortableto continue their casual conversation. At this point we are a bit agitated as more time has passed by waiting with our toddler, not receiving anything from the agent. Shortly after, we then put our apartment pamphlets down and head out the door. We were not acknowledged during the whole time there and we will not be coming back.

I would give this place zero stars if I could!!!! The air conditioning is ancient and it was costing $20 A DAY to keep the apartment at 80 degrees. We even had SRP come out and see if there was anything they could do but it was the unit. Maintenance came out multiple times to "fix" it which did nothing. We ended up having to break the lease and pay $2000 to get out of this place after one month in the summer because it was so hot that we couldn't even sleep. The office staff is not helpful and ...

the office manager Jason is rude. No one would help us or offer to do anything about it. I repeat, DO NOT LIVE HERE. If anything goes wrong there will be nothing you can do about it and no one will care.

I lived here for just over three months but I will say that this the best apartment complex I have ever rented from. Staff was professional, helpful and respectful. They have great and updated fitness center, a nice club house and pool facilities. The only area of frustration I had was when I had guest that came in the evening after the gates where closed is that they had a hard time finding my name on the gate system to be let in. Otherwise this is a great complex and I would rent from them ...

again if I ever needed too.

The management before Tipton was good, but things over the years started to go down hill and certain issues were not being addressed. I was probably going to move out. I love renting! Main reason is I have the flexibility of moving quickly without having to worry about selling. We lived at Rock Canyon for 5 years and loved it. We did have an issue with noise with an upstairs neighbor, but management helped us resolve it. Maintenance was great and always responded very quickly. The only reason we moved is because we both got new jobs more east and needed to be closer to work. If we ever get to move west again though, I know we will move back to Rock Canyon!

I lived in the apartments at pillar at rock canyon and my only complain would be the gates... guests have to call your phone to bet let in, which sounds great but you can only use one number and a lot of times id be at work unable to answer and my roommates guests who need to be let in so they would just have to wait for someone to leave. Other than that, everything was awesome! The staff was so nice! I had some issues along the way and they were extremely helpful. There was never much noise ...

other then the landscapers every now and then, the complex as well as the unit itself was clean.
