Bad Management Decision

My grandfather called and informed me that the Solaira management turned off all the televisions in the downstairs lounge in every single building because a few people were fighting over what channel they wanted to watch. I visited and noticed that many senior citizens were now seating by the television at night in a very sad and lonesome manner. I think the management took actions too extreme by confiscating the remotes of every single lounge in every single building. They treat senior ...

citizens like kids, without any respect and dignity. The widespread shut down of televisions is a bad management decision that comes off as demeaning to the seniors. Not a good environment for senior citizens with management treating them like children.

Total waste of time, money and energy applying for this apartment.

If you don't have a perfect life, don't apply for this appt. I went thru months of paperwork with them. They wanted a 5 year rental history, which is not standard. I had rented a house 4 years ago and was undergoing chemotherapy so had 2 friends move in with me temporarily until I could get on my feet. I was disqualified for not reporting that I had friends living with me. My entire rental history other then that is perfect!! Instead of running the rental history first, they have you submit ...

notarized net earnings, 6 months of bank statements, the list gos on and on. they run the rental history last. Go figure!! I have lived in affordable housing in San Juan Capistrano for 3 years with an excellent tenant history. Had thought of moving here as it is a new development. I believe Irvine Company owns it. If your self-employed you have to show major amounts of documentation of earnings etc. I was good in all areas except the one ding on rental history. They lost a potential good tenant.

This place is for senior citizens only! The price was right for me, but my age was not! If your old and don't have many more years to live, this is the place for you! I furious this place only caters to senior citizens and after all of the driving around I did to find this place! The employees laughed at me after they saw me and said I wanted to rent here. However, the employees are very friendly and very knowledgeable about the place. I would highly recommend this place if your 55 years ...
