Lived here for 2 years — not worth the price.
July 8, 2025Lived here for 2 years — not worth the price. If you’re okay with constant disturbances, poor quality, and overpriced rent, then Sunterra might be for you. I stayed here for 2 years and had one issue after another. Rent started at $2,300 and jumped to $3,200 by the time I left — with no upgrades or improvements to justify the increase. The apartment itself felt rushed and cheaply finished. The paint was poorly done, with hairs painted over and unsealed surfaces. In the bathroom, a strange ...sludge would regularly appear on the walls and even on the light bulb — no matter how often I cleaned. Even the baseboards didn’t touch the floor in parts of the unit, leaving visible gaps that made the place feel unfinished. Noise was a constant problem. There were parties in the courtyard that went well past quiet hours, and people often brought their kids to the playground outside the buildings late at night. Neighbor noise, especially loud music, was an ongoing issue that had to be reported multiple times. Laundry was another headache. The machines burned several of my clothes due to overheating, and since the lint ducts weren’t cleaned, clothes often stayed wet even after drying. On top of that, they’d regularly close the laundry rooms before the posted times, which made it hard to get anything done if you had a busy schedule. Water shut-offs were frequent, often with little or no notice. My car was also towed while unloading groceries — which was completely unreasonable. Now that I’ve moved out, I’m having issues getting in contact with anyone regarding my security deposit. Bottom line: Sunterra charges luxury prices for poor construction, unreliable amenities, noise, and bad management. I would not recommend living here unless you’re prepared to deal with ongoing problems and little support.Property Manager Responded

Awful
March 14, 2021Don’t be fooled by the model unit and the complex right near the model unit. Go check out the far laundry rooms that have cockroaches and black widows in them, and washers and driers that don’t actually work. Or wait until you move in to find out that your cabinets are falling off the wall and that they dropped a screw in your garbage disposal but won’t come out to fix it because it’s not a necessity. They also like to change the lease and charge you more because apparently they’re worried about ...fixing the parking that they screwed up to begin with, giving some apartments 5 spots while others can’t get a spot close to their apartment. Oh yeah and “gated” is a joke. The gates broke months ago but of course they’re not going to fix them. The management here is absolutely atrocious, and I think they forget that these apartments are people’s homes and it’s not an excuse for them to have a power trip and get more money out of the tenants without providing the amenities that we were led to believe would be available to us upon moving in. Just call the office and talk to someone about the problems in the complex, oh wait they’re too important to answer anyone’s calls.Property Manager Responded
