When it came time to move I spent a great deal of energy finding an apartment that wasn't just in a solid location but at an affordable price. I came across 85 E Taylor and knew I'd found a real gem.
The property management group (Paragon Properties) that looks after the site is great. Friendly, reasonable, timely, and professional. That's more than can be said for a lot of others in the area.

valley. Water is also paid for which is a plus!
The location is quiet and sound from neighbors are hardly an issue. Parking is included and street parking is pretty much always available.
The place also has hardwood floors which is a welcome change from the carpet floors that are all too standard in the area.
Two small markets are right across the street, Japan Town is a block away, and the Light Rail & Banks are around the corner.
I've looked at a lot of places and it really doesn't get much better than this.
There's a communal washer/dryer on site ($2.50 for wash/dry on average), and another laundry place a few blocks away.
The only downside is no AC, but there's plenty of shade from the trees.
If you're looking for a place to live don't skip this one.
