The Bluffs at Carlsbad
September 26, 2015I moved to Carlsbad from Minnesota just this past June and the leasing office was so wonderful in helping answer questions, not only about the apartment, but about the community as well!! They are extremely friendly and willing to listen and answer questions you might have before and after moving in. The rent is very reasonable for the quality you get. Everything was repainted and new carpet was also put in before our move in date. Everything from the grounds to the pool is very well kept and the ...whole complex provides a safe and relaxing living environment. They also have very friendly maintenance that works around your schedule. BAD Managment team
January 12, 2014Great place and location. HORRIBLE!!!! managment team. If you plan to move here, please expect to NEVER had you request addressed. You can go to the office and express your concerns as much as you want. They will take it very nicely which make you feel really good at the beggining but then, time pass by and nothing will happen. This will repeat over and over until you get tired to hear the same excuses and you just give up. Funny thing is that probably about 6 month ago they had a great ...managment team who used to be on top of their game but they are all gone. Current resident at The Bluffs
December 5, 2013I recently moved in here and I am more than pleased! Lori the manager has been spectacular with follow up with the countless details of bringing in two pets, plus giving all of the necessary information to get moved in. She is an inspiration and is always more than pleasant and professional! I've bought two properties in the last 9 years and sold my last home to invest in real estate in North county, so living in an apartment was a last resort. I can honestly say that this is my favorite place ...that I have lived in San Diego county! The proximity to my favorite stores and activities is great. Lousy Value
January 21, 2014I was a former resident of this complex before it became The Bluffs. At that time it was economy apartments as befits 1 BR suites of only 451 sq. ft. I can't believe that anyone could be so stupid as to try to renovate this complex and sell it as luxury apartments. 451 square feet is much too small to be luxury, no matter what kind of appliances they have. The new owners must be nuts. I give them six months before they fold.Review from Apartments.com
Horrible Office Staff
October 6, 2013I recently moved here because the location was convenient and the rent was reasonable. What a mistake. The office staff either redirects my calls saying that they will "get back to me" or they totally lie. The fitness center and pool amenities were a work-in-progress when I moved in (June 2013), which was understandable because the apartments have all been newly remodeled, but I was told everything would be complete by July. The pool didn't even have furniture until mid September and the fitness ...center is STILL not open (it is now October) - whenever I call they simply say "next week" .. four weeks later and I would have rather just gotten a gym membership back in June instead of waiting for these people to get it together. They should not advertise amenities they DO NOT provide. I should probably include a lighter note, which is that the maintenance has been fantastic, I've had two problems and the man that came to take care of everything was super helpful. Too bad the office is enough to drive any normal tenant FAR AWAY. I couldn't even get a straight answer when I was considering referring a friend to rent at the Bluffs. They don't allow cats, but I see cats in the windows of other apartments constantly- nobody enforces any of these 'rules'. I will not be renewing my lease.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
