super nice but pricey
February 24, 2026Maintenance is super wonderful and normally right on top of stuff, including emergency repairs. Office is nice and friendly but can’t always reach them over the phone. Apartment wasn’t cleaned or fixed up fully before moving in but wasn’t a big deal since it wasn’t much at all. Only problem is it is pricey. My hopes have been exceeded. I love living here.
February 9, 2025I chose to live here 10min after walking in the office door. Only 4 apartments share a washer and dryer, which is ideal; the heating and air are superb; maintenance is amazing; staff are quality people and seek to understand; residents are kind and helpful; grounds are wonderful; the balcony is oversized (it’s huge); double pained windows; I’m in a 1br and it is very spacious and so clean. I love living here so much, and if I need anything, the staff working here have proven that they want to ...help make living here wonderful, and they have exceeded any standard. I currently live here and don’t see a reason I won’t be here for a long time. It’s so close to places that I frequent for groceries, I-29, and other access points. It’s quiet here and they just finished the build of a new pool. There’s a small court and hoop, I love seeing people play there. The playground and dog run at the office are next to a huge clearing and trees. The birds are my favorite in the morning, and some squirrels run across my balcony playing together often. I find it difficult to see anything I don’t like here. This is an amazing home to me. I feel if anyone has a complaint, it isn’t with the resident or property management staff, it’s something within themselves. Resident TH :)Property Manager Responded

Well managed, close to everything
October 27, 2024I have lived at the Oaks at Prairie View for almost a year and a half. Nicole, Lexi, and Karol have worked hard to earn and maintain my trust and appreciation. They handle my frequent online purchase deliveries so I don’t have to worry about being around to accept shipments. The apartments are well maintained, quiet, and close to everything. I have become a confirmed Northlander. I have never seen so much as a flea in my apartment, and although we’re very close to I-29, my apartment is quiet and ...energy efficient. I’d say something about maintenance, but I very rarely need their attention.Property Manager Responded

Love this community!
June 26, 2023The staff is phenomenal, always taking their time to listen and be attentive. Everyone on staff is very friendly. The apartment is very cozy and spacious for my boyfriend and I, and our dog. The neighbors are respectful. I don’t have much to say that’s bad about this place, but one thing that was not the greatest experience was the paint job that was done prior to us moving in. The staff was aware of the terrible paint job and give us some tips on how to get the paint on the floor off. The ...washer and dryer is in the basement and the size of the washer and dryer are manageable. Other than that, my experience at the oaks so far is good! New to Kansas City
March 26, 2023Upon recently obtaining new employment, I had about 2 weeks to find a place in Kansas City, as the job was not a work from home situation. I made the 3 hr drive to tour a couple of places in KC. Although I liked one downtown, the parking was not an ideal situation. Like who wants to park on the street but the apartment itself I loved. The Oaks at Prairie View was my choice because each address only has 4 apts and the one I looked at was on the 1st floor which was perfect because since having a ...stroke, it's a bit much to walk stairs nowadays and I live alone so I had to ALL the packing & moving myself. Now that I have been in my apt since March 3, I have had no problems thus far with any bugs, the neighbors, parking, my deliveries, etc. I have a 1 bedroom and the only thing I can say is that I wish the bedroom was not on the front because that explains why when you pull into the parking lot, everyone's blinds are closed. I worked with Karol and she was a doll. She was very professional, personable and that is something that a lot of people seem to not possess nowadays working with the public. July 31, 2021I moved into my apartment June 2. When I was looking for an apartment I called The Oaks of Prairie View, I looked at reviews and which where positive, was told there wasn't anything available. I chose to call again a week later, Karol was very excited that I called back, because she just received a notice for 1 bed 1 bath opening. After moving in I had a few glitches, but Karol and maintenance have been fantastic, they have taken care of all the issues very quickly and professionally.Property Manager Responded

I love the Oaks at Prairie View
December 7, 2019I love the management team here. Nicole and Lexi are always so helpful and caring. I love having a pool in the summer and someone to shovel the sidewalks in the winter. Perfect for retirees!
November 23, 2019I moved in about a year ago and I'm extremely happy with the place! A cozy fireplace and a deck to sit and sip my coffee in the morning, not to mention a dip in the pool and a quick workout and it's all I was looking for! A bus ride away from shopping at Zona Rosa or Downtown to dine. Its beenn quiet and peaceful and I couldn't be happier. I just signed the lease to stay another year.Property Manager Responded

Been here for 6 years
