Everything from the manager to the units are a disaster, Run
April 8, 2026 - Review from Apartments.comWhere to even begin....While getting approved, I was working one staff member. She had everything done, set ready to go. A day before move in, someone emailed asking for more money, ID's and more information. After going back and forth with the manager, they had me resign a new lease, pay more cost's and said the other employee was no longer there. Arrived to pick up keys and went to the unit, here is what I found- The unit reeked of food, grease and nastiness. The ac thermostat did not work, ...the kitchen sink faucet was completely broken, the paint on the walls are literally 3 colors due to them touching up after numerous residents had moved out. The ceiling paint is suppose to be white and its yellow. The vent hood covered in grease and the light did not work. The floors were disgusting, my mop and towels literally were brown from the dirt. I decided to wipe down the walls to try to kill some of the odors and my rag was completely yellow from grease and cig smoke. Now lets talk bugs- There are a ton of german cockroaches everywhere, alive and dead. I showed them to a pest control guy at work and yes, they are german cockroaches. Absolutely disgusting. Now lets talk noise-Either the family above me is a heard of elephants or they just don't care. It is loud 24/7 and even turning the tv volume on high, it still does not help. Let's talk fee's- You get charged a gate fee of $50 but they don't have any gate remotes to give you They charge pest control but there are roaches all over the unit They charge valet trash fee, never has this been picked up Let's talk communication- After sending photos of how gross the unit is, told them I would be out of town Friday and would be moving in that weekend. Office confirmed they would make arrangements to come on Friday while I was gone to paint and make the repairs. Here it is Wednesday, I get home and they came and painted over the grease in the kitchen and left trash on the floors, a paint brush in the sink and paint residue in the sink. Again, they were not suppose to come until Friday. Now let's talk price- I was sold on an "Upgraded Unit" that cost's more for rent. The walls and ceilings have not been painted in a long time, the stainless appliances are rusted, the microwave vent hood is covered in grease and the light des not work, there are holes in numerous walls from prior guest hanging items, and the ceilings are yellow from dirt, leaks and just nastiness.Read MoreProperty Manager Responded

The worst service I have ever had
November 21, 2024 - Review from Apartments.comThe worst service I have ever experienced. First, they couldn’t fix the AC during the summer for several weeks, leaving me to suffer in the heat. Then, the same thing happened with the fridge—it was broken for weeks with no resolution. Now, I’ve had rats in my apartment for over a month, and they still haven’t taken care of it. Do yourself a favor: don’t even consider renting an apartment from them.Property Manager Responded

The main office is a laughing stock and the management company(GVA) is even more of a joke. They ensure to harass tenants over everything and anything (plus undisclosed fees/utilities) The staff is BEYOND incompetent and they make sure to switch everyone out almost every month so nothing can ever be resolved. Still waiting to hear back from GVA in regards to THEIR EMPLOYEE trying to BREAK INTO my ...unit on camera over 2 months ago. AVOID this place, it's by all means not worth it at all.Read More

But what really sets The Park at Walnut Creek apart is its location. It borders the Walnut Creek Metro Park, which is an ...absolute paradise for runners, hikers, bikers, and dog lovers. Whether you want to take a leisurely stroll or push yourself to the limit, this park has something for everyone. And being just a short drive (or long walk) from the Domain and the new FC Stadium, you'll never be far from great shopping, dining, and entertainment options. They're trying to make me pay $300 for the new vinyl flooring AFTER the tore out my 7 year old carpet. Also, bug infestation - roach infestation.
Horrendous Management
August 30, 2022 - Review from Apartments.comGVA Property Management took over this complex months ago and have proven themselves completely incompetent at property management. The security gates to the complex have not functioned in 8 months, meaning anyone can drive through the gates and conduct drug deals in the parking lot, vandalize vehicles, and break into the mailboxes. Speaking of mailboxes, they were broken into 5 months ago and the damaged boxes have yet to be fixed, meaning residents with the affected boxes have to stand in line ...to pick up their mail at the post office. There is a security fence around the mailboxes, but the gate to that fence broke about 3 weeks prior to the break-in. Rather than fixing it and potentially preventing further break-ins, the property management simply got rid of it. There is no security at this complex because the management refuses to fix anything that might provide a modicum of security. Want to live in a safe and secure gated community? We planned to move in here during a pretty terrible time during the snowstorm, and were not told in advance that we CLEARLY needed gas for heating (had not lived in a place that needed gas for cooking/heating before). Our move-in date was pushed back weeks after we had payed the deposit and I totally understand these were unforeseen circumstances but could have been avoided had we been told many things in advance. We have been here for almost 3 months now and I am ...just counting the days until the lease ends. When we moved in, the apartment and kitchen were still dirty with stains on the oven and walls, and broken towel racks and crooked shower rod just really topped it all off! We have had random monthly charges for not having renter's insurance when we have been under a policy since we paid the deposit. There are also required charges that to pay through the apartment complex- trash valet and bulk internet/cable. Expect to not have your trash picked up every now and then or for the entire week even though its "required" to pay for! Neighbors are noisy and loud and if you ask management for help, expect nothing to be done. Expect some roaches to come in too (even on a 2nd floor apartment) because the doors do not seal, and there is not screen door for the balcony either. Another detail about management is that they will only respond back if they feel like it! Response time is only quick if you are trying to rent from them, but if you have any issues they will just leave you hanging. Location is fine, but I'm sure you could find better places around Metric that are around the same price.
