The Towers, located in beautiful Cathedral Heights, is ensconced by Rock Creek Park. Built in 1961 for old-Washington?s elite, The Towers is quiet, impeccably manicured, and very safe.
The homeowner's association takes great care to maintain the gorgeous swimming pool, gym, library, valet, dry-cleaning & package services, and the myriad small, locally-owned shops in the basement (including a grocery store that sells beer & liquor.)
Every apartment recently had the windows and balconies ...
upgraded. The entire heating and cooling system for the 1,200-resident building was over-hauled, and the decor was updated with a modern flair, combined with old-world style. White marble, golden chandeliers and plush furniture make socializing with your neighbors very glamorous indeed!
Apartments come in multiple sizes to fit most-any budget. Neighbors are friendly but tend to stay out of your personal business. Metro bus access is right out front, and the Tenleytown-AU Metro stop on the Red Line is less than a mile away. Local shopping and eating is just 1000 feet up the street (Chef Geoff's = Best, and Cheapest Happy Hour in DC!) American University's campus also provides a wonderful walk for those looking to explore Spring-time blossoms and the exuberance of youth.
My wife and I have lived here for the last three years, and could not be happier. You will love the building, people, and location. Better act quick though, apartments here never stay empty for long!
