STAY AWAY
October 26, 2022My fiancé and I were looking for an apartment to rent and though the Villages of Lancaster Green would work. We applied for a move in date of December 31st, were approved, and signed the lease. Not even 24 hours later we were informed that our move in date wasn't possible and they would need us to move in January 3rd. We told management our current lease was up December 31st and we needed to be in a new apartment that date. They said there was nothing they could do. As soon as we told them we ...would not be interested in renting with them, they miraculously told us they would make our move in date work. I would stay far far away from this place. We paid a holding fee for the apartment that they will not refund us, even though we held the apartment for one day and then chose not to move forward. Be warned!Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Horrible apartments
September 21, 2022This is a horrible place to live , the apartments are in bad shape everything in it is cheap. Smells like nasty mold when it rains the there’s water puddles everywhere it goes inside the hallway if you live on the first floor. Very trashy horrible management not worth the money they are asking for to rent it out. Just buy your own home for less . If your credit is at least a 600 go to the usda building and apply for a loan to purchase your own home.Property Manager Responded

Spacious KILLER apartments
November 27, 2019The reason for a 2 star rating is due to the fact that I have lived in VLG for 5 years. I had a mold issue in my first apartment, stayed there a year then relocated to an entirely different building WITH THE SAME ISSUE! I have advised management of this issue and the serious health conditions it can cause. I was fed LIES about the moisture in my apartment coming from hang drying clothes in the apartment on occasion which was about once a week, there is no way in hell the small amount of clothing ...being washed causes the clothing in my closet to reek of mold and mold spores growing on my personal belongings. They have offered to bring a giant dehumidifier in the apartment which in turn would raise my electric bill. There was nothing done to recitify this problem but place the blame game on me as if I caused the mold to grow in the walls that is visibly seeping through. The purpose of my review is to save you all time, money and protect your health and advise you NOT to rent from VLG. VLG has done minor changes like updating sinage, painting the exterior of the buildings and fixing balconies which were on the verge of collapse with a patch of cement. Do yourselfs a favor and find some where else because I guarantee you WILL regret it!Property Manager Responded

LIES, Disgusting and a WASTE
September 17, 2015This place is full of lies and delinquency. I moved here for the price of the unit, however a couple years later decided i could no longer take it! Between the loud people living around me, the residents dogs pooping all over the property, the nasty smell and stains in the hallway, limited parking access, and bugs bugs bugs! These people never pick up their phone so if you have an issue you better wait till you can speak to them in person, not like that helps either because it takes them forever ...to come around for the issue. Rent drastically increases every year, the pool guy is never around to even go in the pool and you pay for water/sewer/trash! I moved out and they got me for things that weren't even wrong with my apartment when i left. This is place is only out to make a buck and no responsibility to fix anything that is really wrong with the way it is ran. Good luck getting your deposit back, these people lie lie lie and sit back any laugh. I wouldn't recommend for even my dog to live in a place like this. Spacious but terrible management
August 10, 2015I lived here for two years. The apartments are very spacious and larger than others in the area. However, my first floor apartment had a mold problem and a terrible smell. Maintenance was sub par, and it was difficult to get them to come out. The laundry facilities flooded constantly. You had to go to the leasing office to pay rent, but they would leave early for the day constantly so there would be no one there. It was almost impossible to get the office staff on the phone. Moving out was ...terrible, because they don't do a walk through with you. They kept most of my security deposit with no reasons given other than "cleaning" even though my roommate and I cleaned everything including inside of the drawers and cabinets.
