Can not see the apartment before signing the lease

I went their with all of the intentions on paying my application fee and with the hope of putting my deposit down to hold my unit. However when I was told that I could not see the unit that I would be living in and that I had to sign the lease first (or blind as they call it), I was lost for words. I was very disappoint... why would you sign/ buy something that you don't know what you are getting. They will show you the mock unit but that is not the one you will be getting. I was definitely ...

disappoint and they need to come up with another way of doing things. However I walk anyway disappointed and now I just want to warn others..enter at your own risk... :(

The apartment is older, but the recent renovations make it a nice place to live. There is a lot of space and nice utilities.

Rent is a great deal and the building management is friendly and responsive. The grounds are well-lit and well-maintained. There are also two fitness rooms and pools.
