May 31, 2022Paying rent is a hazard here. You can pay rent and utilities through two different companies, but only one is the right one. Office staff will tell you which one but then later you will get “payment due” emails from the second company and accidentally pay your bills there. You’re lucky if the staff is nice to you about a confusion like this. As others have said, office staff can be rude since they answer questions or concerns in an angry “it’s your fault” tone, and then they finally help after ...they’re done ranting about how you were wrong. Half of maintenance are nice, the other half are definitely your spy guys. They’ll report who is in your apartment and what. If they think you’re breaking the rules, you will get a warning from the office saying they were “informed” of such activities. Talk about privacy. There are laundry machines for each building. The ones in my building don’t work well even after putting in work orders. So I wash my clothes in the laundromat next door but they have mold in their machines which causes me to use extra soap. The area is safe in my opinion as long as you’re not walking around at night. Neighbors can be friendly, or polite. All in all it’s an ok place to save money, sometimes you feel like it’s a good place, but it’s definitely not great.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Living safely
September 15, 2021Living in Washington Square Apts is the place to be. Clean buildings and manicured lawns. Friendly neighbors and office staff. Plenty of parking and zero tolorence for loitering and sitting on steps. Maintenance staff for repairs are always same day. I love living here.Review from Apartments.com
Clean and close to Ft Belvoir
July 16, 2020Place is landscaped well and is kept clean inside. Quiet at night and has a pool with lifeguard. Parks, bus, and stores nearby. Allows dogs for a reasonable fee. Balcony is relaxing also. Roomy living room/dining room.Review from Apartments.com

Rude staff
October 17, 2017Here, they have the rudest staff I have ever known. Their words to the customers as if they are ordering and threatening. To be fair, I would want to say that I’m not talking about the manager. She’s quite polite and professional. Unfortunately, most of the time she is not working with customers. Maintenance guys don’t just do maintenance, they will act as spy or informant for the apartments whenever they enter your unit. So be careful whenever you ask them to come to fix something in your ...apartment. Make sure you just let them see what you want them to see, don’t let them curiously walk, look around inside your apartment. They will take notes of what they have seen and report to the apartments. You are fine if you suffer and don’t ask them to fix anything. Otherwise, they will have attitude to you. When you call them for something, don’t be surprised if they argue with you that things are right and don’t need to be fixed so they don't have to do anything. Big concern about security and safety
October 2, 2017The biggest concern when living here is safety and security, especially if you have kids. 100 feet from the apartments is a secluded park. There are suspicious guys sitting there and smoke. The burning, strong smell of the smoke is definitely not regular cigarette, and they can be smelled from the apartments. I just hope that they are not smoking marijuana, whack or things like that. Regarding this, I believe the apartments management needs to work with the authority to make sure the apartments ...is a safe place to live. Also, the door to access each building is not secured. Anyone can enter the building at any time. As a result, sometimes at night, some guys enter the building, sit under the stairs, drink beer and leave the empty bottle there. Sometimes they let you know about water cut in advance, sometimes they don’t. There are a lot of roaches too. The worst customer service of my life
April 14, 2017The worst apartment complex i have ever seen before. i made a grave decision of entering here without inquiring first but i ready to correct it by moving ASAP. How can a couple (the property manager and the maintenance guy) managing the apartment and we expect things to be alright. They have sold parking stickers to outsiders to the extent that the real residents cannot even have place to park. Nothing is in order here. Very bad customer service and dishonest
December 23, 2016One thing I notice in their website (Washington Square in RIMSI) is they don't post the working days or working hours. I call their lease office number on Monday and Tuesday in normal working hours (9am - 5pm) and answered by a voice mail that the office is closed. And they are not holidays.
