June 17, 2025I DO NOT recommend living here if you expect management to take noise complaints seriously. Since a new tenant moved in above me several months ago, I’ve been dealing with frequent and disruptive noise—specifically their dog running and banging throughout the apartment, including late at night around midnight and even as late as 3 AM. When I raised this concern with management and provided three videos (where the noise is clearly audible), I was told, “It’s a dog, there’s nothing we can do” and ...“the tenant has the right to have a dog.” Despite one video being reviewed in person and acknowledged for its noise, management later claimed they couldn’t hear anything in the videos I emailed—an excuse that feels dismissive and dishonest. When I requested corporate’s contact information to escalate the issue, I was told that this is a privately owned property and that all complaints would simply be redirected to the same management office. Based on other Google reviews, this seems to be a common experience here. Additionally, the “valet trash” service I pay for is unreliable—trash often sits outside for days. When I raised this concern, I suddenly began receiving notices accusing me of not following trash procedures, which were inaccurate. Beyond that, I returned from vacation to find a scratch on my vehicle, and on another occasion my side rearview mirror was pushed out of position—both incidents occurred while my car was parked on the property. Unfortunately, I am locked into my lease until December, or I would have already moved. I made the mistake of ignoring the negative reviews when I signed—please don’t make the same mistake.Property Manager Responded

Terrible communication and roaches
May 20, 2025During the application process they had very poor communication and sometimes didn’t even respond till days later. When we finally moved in after a long and slow process the apartment had a weird smell and stains in the microwave. Then with closer inspection of the rooms there were pests everywhere and to be specific roaches both babies and adults. We found them in the bathroom, closets and the kitchen under the fridge. The walls have random spots and look dirty as if they’re stained permanently ...then the amount of spiders that were seen along with the roaches was unbelievable. I honestly do not recommend as it’s not worth the money nor time. It was not the best experience.Property Manager Responded

Beautiful lake poor customer service
August 14, 2023My light went out in my kitchen & I have called for 3 days. No one has come out to fix the light still. The girl answering the phone has been very rude each time. I've even told her I have a visual disability and even then rude & not sending someone immediately. We've had to eat out for 2 days and I'm assuming today will be the third. It would take no more than 5 minutes to get it changed. I moved in mid-year 2020 and my rent has gone up almost $400. They're totally willing to stick it to you ...rather than other places that are only raisi g the rent by 5%. I love the lake & location but anytime there is a maintenance issue it's like pulling teeth trying to get it fixed timely. Every time there's an issue it's a fight to get it fixed. This time I even called only once a day & was kind & still nada. The person answering the phone was very clear with me how much of a priority it is NOT to change it. She was rude the first day I called & rude now. If you don't like your job, or that people complain when their maintenance has not been done when you've said you'd have them do it for 3 days then maybe you are in the wrong job. It's ridiculous. They do not care

Do NOT do it
March 30, 2022If you're thinking about moving here DONT do it. For the money my husband and I are paying, all the issues we've had are not worth it. Problem 1: There is NO hot water on the regular bases. When I called the leasing office to explain the hot water situation that has been happening ever since we moved in, I was told that it is not a priority because of the temperature outside but someone from maintenance can come by within a week. Again, this issue has been going on since we moved in in ...August. Problem 2: Mildew all over the windows as well as leaking windows. My windows leak puddles all over the windowsill that has dripped to the rug. Maintenance told me this is a Wellesley Terrace apartment problem. Problem 3: Children playing in the parking lot, touching and hiding behind vehicles every single day. There is a play ground on the property but every single day children play outside and around the vehicles with and without supervision. Problem 4: Trash is left everywhere, out front of apartments, overflow from the compressor, in the parking lot etc. Every week the compressor is full and trash is left all around the trash area for 1-2 days before picked up. Problem 5: Residents are not able to throw out cardboard in the compressor but was not given an additional location to throw out (we pay for trash removal). Problem 6: NO accountability to the families after holidays, celebrations, parties etc. Fireworks have been lit off in the parking lot next to vehicles and the trash has been left. Problem 7: Called maintenance for an issue going on with our clogged sink, worker put stuff inside the drain and said shed be back later. My husband and I had to run out quick and came home to the master key inside the door and her inside the apartment. I was NOT notified when shed be back, as it was 4-6+ hours after the fact. We also have a dog that at the time was in the crate, thankfully. Management is absolutely useless. These issues clearly have been going on for a while and will come up with excuses just to make their money. Do NOT rent from here!Property Manager Responded

Bad experience
July 11, 2019This is a horrible apartment complex. Floor always makes creaky noises when walking around because these apartments are very old. When complain about the noise the answer is from the leasing office is "Apartment living is like that". They cannot do anything about it because these apartment are very old and making lot of noise when walking. If you need good night sleep and peace of mind, this not the place for you. Very Noisy Cannot sleep
June 2, 2019This is very old apartment complex. Makes lot of creaky noise when people walk. Specially cannot sleep in the night because of it. I used to get up and check my apartment in the middle of the night to check if some one walking in my apartment, later I figured that people in the 2 floor apartment is walking. GSC Wellesley Apartment is the worst management I had never experience till today, Normally I don't write reviews. But because of GSC management arrogance. It made me to write this review to help future tenants. Bad part - Buildings are very weak and worst, You can here all kind of noise from your neighbors. Be prepared for the headache before you move-in. Their strategy on ...fines when you move out - If the carpet lifetime is for five years depending on the year you enter during the move-out, definitely they will be a charge for you.Be prepared for the charges. In my case the charge is for carpet replacement $1000 for the first year because I didn't stay for five years. First year carpet replacement reasons - Pets odor/Food odor (Common). If it's one year stay, Take it granted you will be charged complete carpet replacement definitely. Very bad situation during the discussion with management - I said that, I had all proof's during my move-out date has photos and videos which has all the condition of apartment including carpet is good. Answer from the management lady, You cannot prove pet's smell and food odor in your videos and photos it's our strategy and law agree's on the same. How smart they are to pick the dollars.Very crazy...They will threaten you to pay complete amount for few days.If you don't respond they will come for negotiation with $25 discount first and later they will send reminder emails saying we are trying to contact you but no response.These are all the groundwork to the prepare case to transfer your case to third party and later to add you name to creditors.In 2011 when I am in Crossing near to Chase Wellesley, I heard this apartment had very bad review and no one preferred. After few years of their struggle to get back their brand name again. They have changed the management. Now this management ladies especially are unprofessional doesn't have brains. Very bad when it comes to renewing lease
January 13, 2019I am talking on behalf of many residents for this year including me. This year the community is charging very high rates for lease renewals. Mostly all of us have experienced $150 increase in the lease renewals from the last year.Property Manager Responded
