Besides the excellent management staff, Windsor Ballard is perfect for those without a car. Within 2 blocks there are two large grocery stores, Safeway and Town and Country, and a Walgreens. Within 9 blocks there is an excellent hardware (Stone Way), a UPS store, a Post Office, numerous medical and dental clinics, a Trader Joes, veterinarians, pet supply stores, small breweries and cafes, and a great dog grooming and boarding company City Dog, (just next door). of a quiet residential area with several small parks and numerous routes for dog walking so you and your pooch will never get bored. Also the apartments are on major bus routes within 2 blocks that stop every 10 to 15 minutes.

It is in the heart of Ballard. Shopping for groceries is very convenient because there are many options. Public school is not very far as well if you have children. The staff here is very supportive and friendly.

I’ve really enjoyed the new maintenance crew! I was an Ava resident and wondered how the old team would be replaced, since they were amazing. I’ve got to say—Windsor has a great crew here too! Both Brian and Christen are fantastic at what they do. They’re very kind and always willing to help out. When I was moving down the hall, Christen offered to help me after hours, since I wasn’t able to find anyone else at the time. Brian is always respectful and professional when he’s working. maintenance request a few weeks ago, and Brian even took his shoes off before entering my apartment. That might not sound like a typical comment, but I keep my place super clean, and without me saying anything, he noticed and kindly did that. Those small details truly speak for themselves. After moving from a single family home I lived in for 46 years, I was hesitant to move to any apartment. But I discovered not long after I moved in how much I liked living in a community like Windsor Ballard both for its friendly residents and staff and lovely walking neighborhood. Everything is so convenient -- with 2 large grocery stores just across the street, drug store, dog grooming, hardware store, doctor and dentist etc. -- that I don't even need a car. The apartment location is great and the amenities would be nice if any were available. Currently the lobby, lounge, and gym are all closed for renovations. The outside of the building is being painted sections of the building have to keep all their windows closed during a heat wave (I’m not sure why AC is listed as an amenity since I’ve yet to meet anyone who has building-provided AC in their unit and now we don’t even have windows), the Amazon locker is broken, and the dog park has no gate.

Windsor Ballard is a terrible community; overpriced, dirty, always in the midst of construction, poor communication from staff, and prices for rentals are high considering amenities are under construction and unusable. Would not recommend to anyone.

Our community has been undergoing exciting renovations to improve your living experience, including updates to our clubhouse, and fitness center we still have the courtyard and rooftop available for use in the meantime while we complete this project. We do our best to maintain all shared areas, with cleaning services on-site six days a week to ensure they remain welcoming and clean.
