Well, if that's the case, you're best bet would have to the Base Camp Lounge, right in the heart of Five Points, where you can down a few drinks, including a bevy of creative cocktails, chow down on some delicious grub, and dance the night away to some of the best local live bands around on two different stages. There's a little something for everyone at this hip bar. If you're looking to wet your whistle, there are plenty of ways to get your drink on. There are a wide variety of different bottled beers to choose from, including Guinness, Negro Modelo, Miller Lite, New Castle, Bass, Budweiser, Yuengling, Amstel and Red Stripe, and there's even Guinness Irish Stout on draft. For wine fans, you can get several kinds of by bottle, including Bogle Pinot Noir, Cavit Pinot Grigio, Esser Chardonnay and even Haywood Merlot. The real hot item at Base Camp, however, are their fun and original martinis. Try a Freak Street Royale, with Stoli Vanilla, Triple Sec, Malibu Rum, Chambord and pineapple juice, a Vanilla Thrilla, with Stoli Vanilla, Frangelico and Baileys with just a touch of Chambord, Fish-Tall Ladder, with Crown Royal, Apple Pucker, Triple Sec and cranberry juice, the Yeti Martini, with Absolut, sake and chambord, or the Base Camp Avalanche, with Malibu Rum, Blue Curacao, Butterscotch Liqueur, Baileys and pineapple juice. All that drinking can leave Birmingham apartment-ites a little hugnry, but never fear, Base Camp offers a fine menu of delicious vittles to get your gut going.
