For seafood lovers, Dallas can be a paradise, with plenty of options for great fish, shrimp and shellfish, so the biggest problems for those enjoying apartment living in Dallas is not where to find great seafood, but which seafood restaurant they should make their destination tonight. Why not go to one of the first seafood restaurants on West End Historical District, Newport's, and taste all the great tastes that result from 25 years of honing the craft. Formally one of the biggest breweries in Dallas, the place was one of the first building in the Historic West End District to get a facelift, and was resulted was one of the best seafood places in town. When you walk in the place, you can feel its proud history, and you'll feel like you're eating in a cultural landmark all through your meal. The current place is full of style and class, with tasteful elements thrown in to keep the nautical feel alive, and to make you hungrier for the delicious meal that's coming your way. In terms of food, Newport has anything you could want to please the pallet. You can start the night off with fresh shrimp and scallop ceviche, ahi tuna sashimi, or try some delicious escargot, fried calamari or crab cakes. If you just can't make up your mind, you can try their appetizer dish, which includes ceviche, calamari, coconut-tempura shrimp and crispy tempura-battered chicken. If you like your seafood grilled, they have a fine selection of grilled items, from salmon, tuna, or chilean seabass, to tiger prawns, sea scallops and mixed seafood. They have plenty of large, hearty steaks or large Maine lobsters, or a fantastic surf and turf, with lobster and the finest filet mignon. For those looking for something with a bit more uniqueness, try their pecan-crusted rainbow trout, tarragon mustard salmon filet, or apple-pecan tilapia. No matter what you choose for your meal, you're sure to leave satisfied, and ready to come again to try the next great flavor combination. If you're looking for a great seafood restaurant, why not go one place you can also get a taste of history. When it comes to seafood, Dallas apartment residents can't do much better than the delicious tastes, and variety of flavors, available in one of the West End's oldest restaurants, Newport's.
