You even helped organize a monthly pot luck get-together, where your new friends can take turns trading off on providing refreshments to the social gathering of like-minded apartment dwellers. Well, guess what pal...your turn is tomorrow, and since your culinary skills are a tad, well, lacking, you're stuck between the proverbial rock and a hard place. Rest easy, as the Houston Barbeque company has got your back. Catering is their secondary bread and butter after all; it's offered seven days a week, with delivery and group pricing available. The fare is standard "brisket, pork ribs, turkey," but often exceeds expectations with its slow-roasted commitment to tradition. The folks at Houston Barbeque realize that quality food takes time, and are (lucky for you) more than willing to work "round the clock so you don't have to. The sides, like everything else, are homemade, and you can choose from potato salad, pinto beans or cole slaw by the pint. Dessert is steeped in southern favorites (the name is Houston after all), including chocolate chip brownies and the always-popular pecan pie. Just be sure to have them deliver an hour before your little get-together, which should give you plenty of time to discard any evidence of the classic old cowboy logo before your guests arrive, leaving you with the credit and the glory. See, told you you're responsible!
