The common "Rule of Thumb" is that rent should be no more than 30% of your income. How much is that? Enter your monthly income and click "Calculate My Budget" to find out.
With the completion of railroad offerings in 1871, Huntington quickly established itself as a hub of industry, with natural resources such as coal and steel in high supply locally. The city was one of the first to adopt electric street cars, and Camden Park saw completion in 1903, making it one of the oldest amusement parks in the country. World War II saw a great need for steel from the city, and by the 1980s the economic focus had shifted to health care and education, with several universities currently housed within the city limits, including Marshal U.
With a large array of public parks and schools to its credit, Huntington rentals are an ideal way to enjoy life in West Virginia. A pair of large hospitals call the region home, and the city's economic base has remained constant for years. The downtown historic district continues to protect the legacy of this proud city, with a number of homes dating back to the turn of the century, and the local metalworking and welding industries continue to show little signs of slowing anytime soon.
