Los Angeles is often about style and chic, but sometimes an aparatment-ite is looking for something a bit more rustic and homey, and nothing hits the spot quite as well as a authentic, tasty British dinner. One place serving up real UK cooking, as well as bringing you some of the best brews in town, is The Cat and Fiddle Restaurant and English Pub. Anglophiles file in by the dozens to take in the delicious delicacies that this popular Pub cooks up, and washes them down with the best in British beers. Of course, being a pub, the beer menu is full of some of the greatest beers in Great Britain. On tap, you can select from English favorites such as Harp, Guinness, Newcastle, Bass or Boddingtons, or grab a bottle of Carlsberg, Fullers ESB, and several other beers from around the world, as well as local favorites such as Budweiser, Blue Moon and Fat Tire. If beers not quite your thing, they also have a full bar, with just about any kind of alcohol you could want, and bartenders who really know what theyre doing. This pub is also serving up some of the best pub grub in LA. They have common place items such as Bangers and Mash, Shepherd's Pie, and, of course, Fish and Chips, but they also have special items such as Welsh Rarebits, Croque Monsieur, and Scotch Egg. If you want something a little more American, you can try their delicious burgers or their New York Strip, or one of their many pasta dishes. You can even have an omelet if you feel so inclined. The Cat and Fiddle has everything one could want in a English pub, and so much more. Apartment-ites looking for real English flavor, as well as an authentic pub feel, need only take the short trip down, where you're guaranteed to have a good time.
