There are several major highways in the area, including Ohio State Route 21, Ohio State Route 172, Ohio State Route 241, Ohio State Route 236, US Route 30, US Route 62, and Interstate 77. In addition, the closest nearby airport is the Akron-Canton Regional Airport. There are also several major international airports relatively close to the area, including the airport in Cleveland.

What are the local media outlets?

In general, Massillon is a part of the Greater Cleveland and Akron media market. Therefore, most of the media stations come from these cities. The biggest newspaper in the area is called The Independent, and it mostly serves Massillon and Stark County. One of the largest radio stations in the area is called WTIG AM 990, and it is one of the few radio stations actually based in Masillon. Massillon Cable TV is the largest TV provider in the area.

The Professional Football Hall of Fame is located in Canton, Ohio, and there is a preseason football game that takes place every year at Paul Brown Stadium. It is definitely something everyone wants to check out. There is also a major Christmas festival that takes place every year, called the Holly Days Light Up. This is the unofficial start of the holiday season. 

Where are the nearby vacation spots?

If you are in Massillon, you are relatively close to several major vacation destinations. For example, you are located relatively close to Pittsburgh, which is one of the largest cities in the country. Pittsburgh is home to the Pittsburgh Steelers, one of the most popular football teams in the NFL. You are also not that far away from Indianapolis, which is the largest city in Indiana. Indianapolis is a thriving business hub, and you might be interested in seeing the Indianapolis Colts play. Finally, one of the major benefits of living in Massillon is that there is also a train service that can take you to Chicago. Chicago is home to the Sears Tower, Navy Pier, and the Shedd Aquarium.
