A piece of art can be one of the main focal points when decorating an apartment, and it's easy to be inspired on a trip to the Bass Museum of Art. Located right in the heart of Miami Beach, the museum is host to some of the city's best collections of Ancient and Renaissance Art. The museum itself is pretty small, so it's a great stop when you're in the city heading back to your apartment, as you won't be there too long. The run regular exhibits, often bordering on the kitschy (such as the recent Marilyn Monroe exhibit), as well as some small cocktail gatherings, which gives this a pretty down-to-earth feel as far as museums are concerned. Aside from paintings and pop culture exhibits, the museum boasts 16th-century tapestries, modern sculptures (including an outdoor sculpture terrace) and travelling exhibits, such as Ancient Egyptian artifacts. This is truly a boutique museum, but no corner feels wasted or superfluous, as none of the art is even remotely pretentious. A fun way to spend an afternoon, and there is a café on site if you get peckish.
