The 101 runs north and south through Novato, connecting you to Petaluma and San Francisco. If you take 37 to the north east, you'll  head out to Sears Point and can continue to Vallejo. There are several distinct neighborhoods in Novato including San Marin, Old Town, Downtown, Eastern Novato, and Ignacio.
