Two blocks down are restaurants Bar Brava, Betty’s Snack Bar, 2 Alice’s cafe and Ms. Fairfax. The house is steps from Audrey Carey Park. Other neighborhood destinations include the 35-acre Downing Park, designed by Olmsted and Vaux (of NYC's Central Park) and the Grand and Montgomery Street historic mansions in the style of Andrew Jackson Downing. Kayaking and access to the Hudson River is possible at the nearby Newburgh rowing club. Newburgh is centrally located and a short drive to countless upstate destinations, including Storm King, Dia Beacon, Bear Mountain, and local Snake Hill hiking trails. Internet/cable, electric, heat/air conditioning (electric), and hot water (gas) are the responsibility of the tenant. The heating and A/C is a brand new high-efficiency electric heat pump system for lower heating costs and sustainability. There are wall mounted units in the bedroom and living room and a supplementary electric baseboard heater in the bathroom. All windows in the apartment are new and well insulated. Laundry provided in the common space of the building and price is included in the rent.
