The Santa Rosa Sound is also a minute or two away. Okaloosa Island is known for its less crowded beaches and is about a 10-15 minute drive from Destin. As this is a ground-floor unit, you may encounter tropical insects such as Palmetto Bugs and Mosquitos from time to time; keeping the door closed will help prevent them from entering. Check-out time is 10 am, and guests who are not checked out by this time will be charged a $50 fine. A $25 late check-out fee will be charged for each extended hour if approved by the host. Guests agree to pay a $500 smoke damage cleaning fee if any sign or smell of smoke is encountered. There are to be no pets on the property unless prior written authorization is obtained, with a $100 pet fee. Guests who bring a pet without approval will be charged a $300 pet fee and immediately evicted. No events or vendors are permitted on the property. Guests agree to pay any damage made to the property. Illegal substances are strictly prohibited and grounds for immediate eviction. Quiet time is from 10 pm to 8 am. Any disturbance triggering a visit by police will require immediate eviction of all guests from the property without refund.
