With many options for apartments in Redding available to residents, finding a perfect place to live here is a snap.

What is the history of Redding?

The city of Redding was named after Benjamin B. Redding, as he was responsible for routing the Southern Pacific Railroad tracks through the area in 1872. The availability of a variety of recreational activities has since led Redding to become a popular tourist center.

The winter months are cool with more precipitation, with average temperatures in the upper 40s. Snow in Redding is rare, with an average of 4.8 inches of snowfall per year.

How do I get around town?

In most situations, a car is an ideal form of transportation. But biking around Redding has been popular throughout the city’s history and it recently received bronze status as a Bicycle Friendly Community. The extensive trail systems and improved bikeways have made Redding a desirable area as walkable city. The Redding Area Bus Authority (RABA) provides public transportation, which runs routes throughout the city, near Redding apartments, and the suburbs.

With permanent and changing exhibitions, the park features art, history, horticulture, forestry, and natural science. The Sacramento River National Recreation Trails is one of the reasons Redding is known as the “Trail Capital of California.” Always open for public use, family friendly, and pet friendly, it is perfect for a casual stroll, a scenic bike ride, or a long run. With parks, bathrooms, and trailheads along its 17.4-mile span, this a pleasant way to spend the day.
