Set right in the middle of Alamo Plaza, right around the corner from one of the most famous monuments in Texas history, this classy bar gets its fair share of tourists during the day, for a large part because of its own historic significance; however, when the days dies down and night comes alive, you're likely to find a good number of locals making their way here for some tasty cocktails, to relax after a hard day working in the busy city. The dark woods of this bar, crafted after House of Lords Pub in London, are sophisticated and inviting, upscale without being too snobby, so you'll feel like an important person, but will feel comfortable enough to kick up your feet and stay a while. The history is what brings a lot of people to his Texas landmark, but the huge beer selection of tasty meals will keep them there. Whether you're in the mood for a local favorite, or an English ale, or a German lager, more than likely you'll find just what you need at this famous brewhouse. If you're feeling a bit peckish, then feel free to order some pub grub or sandwiches from their extensive menu, always cooked hot and fresh, and always delicious. San Antonio is full of famous landmarks and historical hot spots, so why not make your evening out at the bar a journey into Texas history?
