Terrible
April 8, 2021Washer/dryer almost never works. Mice and roaches everywhere. Marijuana smell coming out of the vents saturates the apartment. The smell is coming from outside as well so you can't air out the apartment. Corridors are dirty at time. There was pee stain on the carpet and our floor smelled like pee for about a month.Property Manager Responded

Don't live here
March 17, 2021There's mice and roaches everywhere (both in and out of apartment). Do yourself a favor and don't live here. We can't sleep right, we can't eat with a peace of mind... please do not make the same mistake as my family by signing with them. Your experience will not be okay.Property Manager Responded

bad management and mice home
December 22, 2018just move in three months ago and i am getting bad treatment from the management.i have complain several times about mice coming to my apartment and went to the office twice to talk to the manager but they didn't allow me instant say He/she will contact me and its about a ten days now no contact and I am still living with mice....stay away from this apartment.Reseña de Apartments.com
Very bad management
September 20, 2018The management of Lerner Morningside 6200 Lachine Lane, Alexandria, VA 22312 is worst. They behave with residents in a very harsh way. Before you move in, they say a lot about the amenities of the community, but once you moved in, they change 180 degree. Today I had a very bad experience, I wanted to print a copy of my renter's insurance, they behaved very harsh and refused to do a one 2 page print while it was told to us that you would have access to print documents as residents of this ...community on day 1. Three of their staff members came and spoke with me in an unprofessional language. Last week, I was there for a maintenance issue, they allowed another person to use the printer in the back room of their office. The community itself is very dirty and even if you report to their management they don't care about it. The Leasing Office Manager is a very unprofessional person who never greet with customers even if you go to his office. Give your self a favor
September 20, 2017Do not move over here this is the worst place to live. The management is terrible there's a girl Nicole (I believe that's her name) she's terrible in customer service the manager is awful and I hate the maintenance they are overly inefficient, whenever I request to fix something in my unit they always take forever to arrive to my apartment, I work at night and comeback around 3 in the morning and never ever get parking close to my apartment and the area at night is horrible too dark. I heard that ...some people, they got broken their cars windows and have stolen them besides many apartments on fire. so if you have a nice and new car don't even think about it and give your self a favor and DO NOT MOVE OVER HERELeer MásReseña de Apartments.com
Several Roaches spotted on the first day!
September 5, 2017My friend signed a lease with Morningside recently, and moved out the first day! When we moved her in, she spotted a roach in the bathroom, more roaches were spotted throughout the apartment minutes later, roaches in the living room, dishwasher, you name it! Disgusting! To make matters worst, when she collected the keys to move in, Morningside was still cleaning the apartment. She immediately complained and promptly moved out less than 24hours later. Welcome to Land of rats and roaches
July 12, 2017I've been living here for 8 months now, I just keep counting the days for my lease to end. When I moved in the apartment, it was not renovated as they claim in their ad, noisy floor, scratches on the wall, loose closet doors and so on.... incompetent maintenance (they take care of some minor maintenance on time) in last two and half months I have been complaining bout rats and roaches nobody listens, so far I've submitted 4 work orders for pest control as well as rats, I was lucky enough that ...once someone from contractor showed up, when we told him about rats, he said let me go and grab some supplies, I will be back guess what, it has been a month that we never saw him again.. cooling system broke down two a matter of 5 days, I don't wanna talk about the leasing office staff, I sure you have read a lot about them. Let me write down some pros and cons of this property: Pros: 1. More than enough parking spots 2. Well maintained lawn 3. Convenient and close to shop and restaurant. 3. Close to bus stop. Cons: 1. Leasing office staff, keep your fingers crossed for them to be in good mood when you want to talk to them. 2. Very Very very very very very unresponsive maintenance (I have to admit that in some occasion they responded quickly for non-pest control maintenance) 3. Noisy floor, (even if you walk like cat at night you are welcomed by boom boom sound on the wall by down stairs tenant) 4. You are gonna have a lot of friendly rats and roaches and some other strange creatures that you have seen in your life. 5. You get better hunter, hunting roaches very day. 6. Regular water shut downs. 7. You can tell what your neighbors cooking for their lunch and dinner by smelling their food through ventilation system. 8. Predetermined date to turn on cooling system; weather itself doesn't matter. No mater how hot it is but they wait for May 15th to switch on they cooling system, we experience 90 hot weather without cooling, YOU DON'T WANNA experience it, it is badddddddd. 9. Cooling system break down every now and then. this weeks it broke down twice. 10. For most part stairwell stinky and very old, there is a small exhaust fan in the ceiling but it doesn't help. I have a lot more to tell but I have plenty of time to write down, but you might not have time for it. I badly regret my decision moving in here, so do yourself a favor and look for a better place and make sure to take reviews serious (what I did not do while looking for apartment).Leer MásReseña de Apartments.com
Worst management!!!!!!
July 3, 2017When i went to apply first they were rude waited for like an hour and there was a tenant complaining about a gas smell in his apt and the lady in the office told him to wait that someone was goinf to go check after like 40 min the guy can back and said that no came to check the apt and the manager told him that they where busy that he need it to wait like if a gas smell isn't serious maybe that's why their apt are ways burning. REALLY BAD staff rude and unprofessional! When you go to an apartment ...leasing you expect the staff to be kind and nice not at morningside leasing office the staff is rude when you walk in they don't even greet you in they don't even say hello or how can I help you they just staer at you and wait for you to ask for help. when I saw how the staff was i walk out the door because i knew if i rented there i would have a problem with them for a whole year. The most incompetent maintenance and management team!
October 27, 2016I have left them many work orders during this past couple of months, the maintenance is always too late, irresponsible and completely not up to the task. The rest of the team is also very unprofessional. As much as the apartments are concerned, the AC system is the worst, always broken even though they bragged about renewing before I moved in, there are roaches, and rats running around the apartment, and thank God I am on the second floor, on the lower level it would have been worst. October 21, 2016I have never seen the most bad management , they are not positive to help residents , the maintenance and the management have no contact or they are not organized , the management , when you meet them first they look nice after you move in they are different , they focused on your money not on your safety , I stay in hotel one week cause of they can't fix my shower , they get in your home with out your permission , the rooms are not clean , the roof link water when ever it rains , they don't ...have parking , generally if the management is not changed , I don't recommend for any body to rent in this apartment !!!Leer MásReseña de Apartments.com
