11201 Huston St Apartments

I was pregnant with my daughter we noticed a huge bump in our kitchen floor. Our kitchen had a leak that rotted part of the foundation. So we called the landlord who proceeded to tell us to call maintenance. He came and looked at the floor and said we wouldn't be able to use the kitchen till it was fixed! Excuse me ! I am pregnant and need to eat ! Around that time a tenant was moving out of the only one bedroom apartment in the building. So we quickly jumped on that. Once again "As Is" condition 1 bedroom for $1200 plus a parking spot! Not bad for the area. She left so much stuff in the apartment and the carpets were and are foul ! I cleaned them at 8 month pregnant and didnt get that money back. He told us the carpets are fine. They haven't been changed for in years !! Since we have moved in there have been numerous leaks, holes in the ceiling, broken heater and rats !!! What we thought was going to be an affordable apartment turned into a nightmare. The location is amazing!! Located right on the NoHo Arts District right by restaurants, bars and stores ! I wish the owner took care of the building, they don't build apartments like this anymore. My daughter and I are currently looking for apartments. I will no longer look for super cheap ! I guess it's true you get what you pay for !
