Poor quality but affordable and nice landlord

I currently live in a basement converted into a 3 bedroom 1 bath apartment. National City isn't the best neighborhood - had to throw a lock on our back gate after some local kids broke in and stole $70 and a full bottle of prescription pain medication. It seems that something breaks / needs repair every two weeks since this is a brand new unit. The only saving grace on this place is that rent is pretty cheap (compared to other 3 bedrooms) and the landlord is pretty nice. Don't call him after ...
hours but, otherwise, everything gets fixed within 24 hours.
