Beautiful but safety concern

The building is beautiful, apartments are new, you are on the ocean and can walk to everything. However, parking is across the street in a garage. If something happens in that garage, you are quite literally on your own. Virginia Beach clearly has a huge homeless issue so take that into account before you sign a lease here. You will be in the midst of it all, good and bad. I wanted to love it but the safety factor is huge and I just do not feel safe here so I am breaking my lease early to move. ...
It would be an amazing place to live if there was security 24/7 or at least during the overnight hours. Getting stuck in the elevators and having an elevator or two down happens regularly and they are dog friendly however they don’t want dogs using the bathroom near the building so with the safety issue it is quite difficult as a single female.

While the parking situation may not be ideal with it being located across the street, it is a minor inconvenience in comparison to the countless benefits this place offers. The location itself is a dream come true for me and my two beloved dogs, Lucy and Bruno. The proximity to the beach is simply unbeatable, and the joy of taking long walks by the shoreline is something I cherish every day. Additionally, the rooftop fire pit has become one of my favorite spots to unwind and enjoy a glass of wine.
