The best area near Lake Merritt!
August 10, 2015For the uninformed, Lake Merritt is known as the jewel of Oakland. 317 Hanover is in one of the best locations to live near Lake Merritt. It is just two blocks away from the lake with beautiful views and within walking distance to the shops and restaurants on lakeshore. I could go on and on about the place, but here are some fast facts. Yes, 317 Hanover is a slightly older building, but with Oakland that means will have rent control! There is an elevator, which makes grocery shopping so much ...easier, and they allow cats and dogs. The only negative thing I have with the place is that the street can be a little noisy some times if your apartment is on the front of the building. Its not too bad, and the windows do a great job of cutting out the sound, but if you leave a window open when it's garbage day you will wake up. On the plus side you get tons of sunlight so it works out in the end!Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
