Bright and airy
July 30, 2015Best things about this studio: Five huge windows, Southern exposure, good cross ventilation, high ceilings, washer/dryer one flight down, great neighborhood and block. Oh, and did I mention it's rent-stabilized and I've been here 39 years? Giant ceiling fan makes no AC bearable. Worst features: Six flights up, no elevator. Small but cleverly maxed-out storage I've added makes it liveable. The formerly tub-in kitchen is poorly laid out and all but totally counter-free but it's large enough for a ...table and chairs. Floors are all covered by me with rug and vinyl because they're so terrible. And they slope. The old stove produces slanted cakes. Few electrical outlets- very inconvenient.
