Huge Apartment in terrible condition

How this building passes any inspection is a total mystery… the fire alarm has been permanently pulled for years. Maintenance is almost non existent. Nothing gets fixed unless it becomes a major problem. The walls are filled with mold and bugs.

I love my place. It's huge, it's cheap, the water gets hot when I want, but the landlord and surrounding neighbors are what makes this place tough to love. My landlords are hard to communicate with. They are often shady about rules and they refuse to work with you when you have a problem. They seem to only want to help themselves. The neighbors next door are heinous. It's a complex of about 12 units, primarily families each with 2-3 kids, and every single night without fail there is some kind ...
of loud, obnoxious party happening with loud music and at least 30 small children running around unsupervised and screaming till the wee hours of the night. I have called the cops multiple times and they also don't really help. Oh, did I mention these kids love fireworks? They love them, and seem to have unlimited access to them. Do not live here if you ever hope to get a good nights sleep again.
