Not worth it
February 26, 2017Don't rent here if you have a day job and value your sleep and/or sanity. A group of neighbors drinks and "parties" on the street at all hours of the night on the corner of Dorchester and 21st Street during the warmer months, at times from 6PM to 4-5 AM. They play their car stereo loudly enough to shake our interior walls. NYPD can't be bothered to get involved. (Wonder why?) A neighbor on our floor holds parties with music spilling into attached units at volumes that make it impossible to sleep ...or even to hold conversation a normal volume. Elevator goes out every few weeks. Residents smoke in the hallways. Building janitorial staff works hard but can' make up for the fact that residents leave their junk next to the trash chute instead of sending it down or carrying it downstairs themselves. Landlord and super unavailable, apathetic, and unapologetic about fixing anything in a decent timeframe. Avoid.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Renting until I get a Condo!!
October 6, 2015I am currently in 1 bedroom apartment. Newly renovated. Lots of closet space. the only thing I hate about my apartment is the location. When I moved in I didn't know that it was in such a bad neighborhood. I grew up in Crown Heights and travelled and lived in Hawaii. But now I am concerned about the neighborhood I live in currently and would love to move. Thanks, Linda Pierre-LouisReview from Apartments.com
