issue to handle and, second, should have been resolved long ago. What makes the situation even worse is that residents are often blamed for problems that are not our responsibility, such as pest issues, building maintenance, and repair concerns. Instead of addressing the actual problems and taking responsibility, residents are made to feel as though we are responsible for maintaining the building’s condition. Tenants should not have to take the blame for issues caused by poor management, lack of maintenance, and neglect. Management is not on top of the superintendent or the state of the building. They also do not seem to take the concerns of residents seriously. Requests for repairs and maintenance complaints are ignored, or we are told something will be done and then nothing happens. Management does not handle complaints with the urgency that is required. There is a complete lack of communication, professionalism, and accountability. Out of all the issues, the most draining and frustrating thing to deal with is the superintendent’s attitude and the way he handles residents’ concerns. The superintendent is often rude, dismissive, and arrogant, making residents feel as if we do not have a voice or that these concerns do not matter at all. The superintendent is the most ignorant person I have ever met and seems to feel like he is above the law. He also ignores residents when they try to communicate with him and is usually never available. There have been serious concerns regarding his honesty and how he handles situations. He makes life very hard for the tenants living here. This building falls far below that standard. I would not recommend anyone moving here ever. Your money is worth something far better than this place. I truly think that management needs to take action on the superintendent and investigate his behaviour and the way he speaks to tenants because it is so important that respect is given especially when we are paying big money.
