Good location, terrible apartment
January 11, 2018I was excited to move in, as the apartment was well kept and in a great location. However, since I moved in 8 months ago, I have had 8 packages stolen from the mail area. I am not the only one and we have made the landlord aware of the issue. However, nothing has been done to fix the issue. I've had to spend my money on a post office box and start picking up my amazon deliveries at a secondary location. As well, I've had numerous issues with my bathtub and shower since move in. As well, the ...walls and ceilings are extremely thin and the floors are very, very creaky. This means that you can hear every single thing that your neighbors are saying and doing at all hours. Best Apt Evahhh!
July 22, 2015Buena Park is one of Chicago's hidden gems, in my opinion. It's technically a part of Uptown (the southern part) and borders the north side of Lakeview. At the same time, the area has it's own personality. Our apartment is located on beautiful W Buena Ave. Couldn't have asked for better management. When there's an issue with the apartment, it's fixed quickly. The rent price is fantastic, too. My favorite part about the location, though, is how close it is to the lake. We are a two minute walk ...from Lakefront Trail. Also, Montrose Beach is only a 20 minute walk. It's so nice having a neighborhood beach! My roommate and I take walks often to Montrose Harbor because the view of the skyline is breathtaking. The neighborhood is filled with families and their dogs. Don't move to this apartment!
July 21, 2015Several tenants have had multiple packages "go missing" over the past year, and the landlord won't do anything about it. Repairs take months to be completed, if they ever are addressed. The landlord almost never answers his phone, and sometimes claims to have not received voicemails. The elevator seems to be barely functioning, and the buttons don't light up. Some of the apartment numbers on the doors are written in Sharpie.Review from Apartments.com
