Poor communication and professionalism
November 21, 2021Poor communication from staff. They don't follow up on issues, and you may have to chase them down in order to have action taken. Apathetic attitude. Or worse, you just get simply ignored. The property itself is nice, the apartments are pretty, and the amenities are good, but for the amount of money it costs to stay here, wouldn't you want better treatment and professionalism?Review from Apartments.com
Forget the Rest, The Alcove's the BEST!
September 19, 2020After living in my own home for 30 years, I was eager to relinquish some of the headaches of home ownership (yard, maintenance, property taxes, security, etc.), but I was concerned that I might be bothered by noise, too cramped for space, and hostage to all the unknowns of life in an apartment complex. However, after experiencing all The Alcove has to offer, I am completely and totally thrilled with my decision to move here. I had spent the previous 3-4 years looking at different communities, ...and I liked that The Alcove is comparatively small. It is gated, very quiet, pet-friendly, there are optional garages and storerooms, and the grounds and breezeways are immaculately maintained. Patty, the Community Director, and Daniel, the Maintenance Director, are top-notch in their fields and a pleasure to work with. They are very responsive, and there's never a doubt the residents here are their first priority. I believe you will not find another community in San Antonio with a better overall rating from its residents than The Alcove at Alamo Heights. Whether you are moving from a house or an apartment, you will not be disappointed with your move here. If I had known how happy I would be here, I would have made my move long ago.Property Manager Responded

Best Apartment Complex in SA
February 24, 2018Been here now for about a year. When I moved in, the complex had literally just changed management companies that weekend and thank God they did because judging from what I've seen since then, major upgrade! Patty and Jessel are the absolute best, always willing to help out with anything you need. Since they've gotten here I noticed the following that wasn't present before: more towels in our gym with a well-stocked bathroom, complimentary dog poop bags posted around the property for those here ...that have dogs, a cleaner pool and pool area during the summer, monthly resident events, and more! The maintenance guys are great too and have always come within one day of me placing a work order online (work orders that Patty and Jessel always keep up with too). This place is a small complex which I love, the floorplans are fantastic, the location is near anything you could possibly need and only a 10 minute uber to downtown. I unfortunately when I have to leave here, it'll be hard for the next apartment complex I sign with to beat this one.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
