Very very noisy…
April 6, 2022If I’m being completely honest, the neighborhood is decent overall, clean and quiet outside for the most part, but the buildings are very old, the floors creak really bad, and the walls are thin. I live on the second floor and I can hear every step my neighbors are taking above my head, it’s like they stomp everywhere they go and the ceiling creeks all day and night. I can hear peoples conversations from outside my front door and from my surrounding neighbors which is ridiculous. I get woken up ...out of my sleep every single night, I swear the people above me do not sleep, it constantly sounds like they’re dropping things and walking around!! If you’re looking for a nice quiet apartment, sadly this is not the place (maybe unless you’re on the third floor). So Noisy-You cant even sleep
November 15, 2021This place is so noisy. My upstairs neighbor drops boxes and hits stuff during the night and even until 5AM. I cant sleep at night. I talked to the office and they said there is nothing they can do. I have to pay 3 months penalty to leave and break the lease. It is not fair to pay penalty to be able to sleep at night. Trust me, Do not move here until you are sure you are on the 3rd floor, otherwise you are ruining your life. Cant wait to move out from this place!Review from Apartments.com

Worst place and beware of extra charges in the end
August 28, 2017Wish I can give negative stars. We stayed in the apartment little over an year as it was 'Cheap' and convenient. But in the end they ROBBED us by charging extra hundreds of dollars for the stuff which was already broken. It is the worst place we ever lived with creaky floors, broken appliances, extremely stained carpet. Even if you take pictures before moving into the house it wont be sufficient because the houses are extremely damaged and they end up squeezing money out of you in the end. Its ...got worst management sucking on tenants. A nice place to stay
March 23, 2013After I stayed for over 2 years, in Allandale apartments I, recently had to move out due to change in my job location. I have nothing but all good memories with this place. To begin with, this community is in a quite neighborhood. I always felt safe walking in the night times as well. It has many shops, dining places near to it which are at a walk able distance. since it is located right next to Rt4, travel was always simple and the DART bus stop at the entrance would give an extra option to use ...public transportation. Recently they upgraded their laundry machines as well. The Management staff was always very friendly and accomodative. Whenever I called them for some maintenance, the same day or the very next day the issue was resolved. I have lived in several places in DE before I lived at allande and I can happily say that the property management at allandale is the best. If it wasn't for my job based move, I would have definitely continued here for some more time! Thanks to Melissa and her staff for making our stay a pleasant one. Keep it up! Pathetic Office Staff and Maintenance Service
October 27, 2014The Allandale Apt in Newark, Delaware is a pathetic apartment. First and foremost, the apartment itself is over priced for it's structure. The floor being wooden creeks even if a child walks!! The management is greedy and not at all resident friendly. The leasing office functions at odd timings. They start at 9:30 and close sharp at 6! Working people who have lease on their name have to be in offices by 8:30 to 9 and by the time we get back home, it is around 6 and any concerns have to be ...communicated personally by visiting the office! Maintenance does not help during emergencies! We had to sleep in winter without the heater working. They make new rules at their own will. I have stayed in 4 communities before opting Allandale and in mo community did I have to unnecessarily pay money for carpet cleaning. While leaving the apt we had completely vaccuumed the carpet and have photos as well. But the admistration says its a new rule that we need to pay the carpet cleaning fees for the new residents to come in!! That is the admistration's responsibility! We have done all the cleaning, changed the induction plates, wiped and cleaned the apt spik and span and at then end still end up paying money for baseless reasons!
