I found this apartment complex approximately 12 years ago, I rented a 1bd 1 ba back then in my early 30's. As a single female the open space, the structure, having a full size washer and dryer inside my unit along with it being a quiet community was unmatched. Since then I have moved back in my early 40's and I didn't want to anywhere else. The neighbors, the neighborhood, the maintenance, the landscaping, the atmosphere and the area is so peaceful and quiet and very friendly. I can't imagine any ...

Moved in sight unseen halfway across the country for my first apartment, and the apartment was as advertised. Any problems I had in my time there were nothing that couldn't be solved with a quick phone call and a reasonable amount of time.
My only complaint would be that you can't pay rent/water online w/o a fee, but dropping off a check isn't any deal breaker.
Overall, great no-nonsense place to live.

We've lived here for 4 years now and we even moved from a one bedroom to a two bedroom at the same complex. Sandee the manager is amazing! She really cares about her residents (and their pets.) Our dogs favorite part fo the day is going to the office to see Sandee and get treats.
Maintenance is one of the most important things for an apartment and let me tell you. Apple Creek has some of the most responsive maintenance I've ever lived with. At 8:45am we mentioned our furnace not kicking ...
on, by 9:00 they were here to fix it. Our emergencies have always been
handled impressively quick, even after hours, and regular requests are usually handled within a day.
The neighbors are great, like any complex there's a lot of resident turnover but there are also many people who have lived here for years. If you go for walks around you'll get to know some of your neighbors and that's really nice IMO.
Speaking of walks this complex is pretty walk-able. There's a small path leading down to the Indian Creek Trail which is only about a mile from Price Chopper on 103rd. You can walk to Lamar's, Second Best, Steatz, Thai House, Charlie D's, and Gomers EASILY, KC isn't necessarily the most walk-able city BUT this complex is better than a lot.

When I originally leased an apartment from Apple Creek, I gave them a security deposit. Upon move out they forfeited my security deposit and charge me an exuberant amount of money for repairs to the apartment. They do not use your security deposit for any repairs upon move out they forfeit it Which means they keep it, and then charge you a ridiculous amount of money for minor repairs. I do not see how this is legal, please read the leasing agreement with a fine tooth comb, if you are considering ...

The only reason I would forfeit the deposit is if your lease was terminated early due to yourself or the company. I provide receipts for anything done in an apt and send them to the resident as well. Also resident signs a Move-out cost cleaning schedule charges when moving in. Also deposit can be used for residents that are behind on their water bill when moving out.

A lot of things make apartments nice, but it takes something special to make it feel like home. There are, like any other apartment, pros and cons, but they've worked hard here to make sure those cons are the least of our worries.
First, the pros!
The office staff is amazing. Maintenance is just as great. It's a small staff, and a small community so they really get to know you. I've been at places where the staff is "nice", as in, they're getting paid to smile and try and remember your name. ...
Here they know your name, they take time to get to know you and always have a genuine smile for you when you see them. They're extremely understanding, very quick to answer service requests and they keep the grounds and houses looking nice. Added bonus is that being a small and quiet community means that you get to know your neighbors, and they're all really nice!
The apartments themselves are cozy, they have a few different versions so it's easy to find something that will fit you. Large porches, and very quiet. I've never heard my neighbor except for the occasional foot steps here and there which is to be expected. Trash service is good, and utilities in the area aren't unreasonable. My favorite part of the apartment is that the layout is such that my room is on one side of the apartment, while my roommates is on the other, no shared walls! There's a small pool that is kept up very well and outdoor grilling areas for residents to use as well. All of this is situated close to the freeway, and it's super easy to get from the apartments to work, downtown, or to the country for hikes. Speaking of which, if you don't want to drive to go for a walk it's also located on a huge trail system great for walking pets and biking, rollerblading or running.
The cons -
The apartments are nice, but some of the appliances like the stoves are a bit dated. Everything works well, however appliances are showing their age. The bathrooms can be a bit on the small side if you're a big person but on the up side there are tons of storage spaces. The kitchen is a little small galley style kitchen with a bar window, but again plenty of storage space.
All in all this is one of the best places I've ever lived. It feels like home, and I can't imagine living anywhere else for the time being!
