We Love Our New Home

The last couple of months has been nerve wrecking. Being homeless with my children was very hard and once I came across Beverly and their move in special, I had to apply for a unit. It took a little over a week to move in and I love my unit. Even though we’re way in the back, literally, my kids and I love our unit. The staff was great, even though there was some miscommunication, I would recommend this complex to anyone in need. It’s been 4 days and so far, we love it.

I have lived here for over 2 years. This is a horrible complex due to the owners and revolving door of Mangement and staff. No one answers phones or email. No one knows how to help you. They charge for amenities they don’t even provide - the staff is rude and incompetent. The one great manager they had quit - now the office back to being run like a garbage dump. No one addresses work orders. No one attempts to help. They only communicate about rent payments. Nothing works or is available. The gym ...
has never been open. The pool is disgusting! The maintenance men are lazy! The girl in the front - sits there bc she surely don’t answer calls or emails. LIVE SOMEWHERE ELSE! THIS PLACE SUCKS!

They continue to straight up lie to residents and prospective residents about the property. They DO NOT have a basketball court, tennis court, volleyball court, two pools and many other amenities as the website claims. The treadmill in the gym shot sparks at me while I was using it and burned my leg, and the management response was to ignore me when I told them about it and plug the machine back in as if nothing happened. There are too many other significant issues to list here about this place. ...
The worst place that I have ever lived by far, and although the physical property is not great, it is definitely the staff here that makes it terrible.

Disgusting. Water leaks EVERY MONTH. Roaches. Terrible area and way over priced for this piece of garbage apartment complex. I can see through my porch into the neighbors floor

The Beverly would be a great place to live, if anyone took care of it.
The grounds themselves are littered with trash (take a look at the attached picture.) Nobody bothers cleaning it up and the area is infested with bugs (it's located next to a natural swamp, so that's to be expected. But you'll end up with roaches, spiders, silverfish, etc). The dock is INFESTED with spiders. I'm talking horror-movie amounts of spiders and webs, people.
The community is listed as "gated", which is true, but ...
that gate is always open and does not close. Anyone can walk right in off OBT! The laundry facilities only supply cold water, as of the past few months. And your apartment might be listed with a "washer/dryer hookup" but I would walk through the apartment you are actually about to rent beforehand, as we never saw one that had a hookup but was told we were getting one.
Our Maintenance guy is great! But the others in the development are hit or miss (Some are outright rude.)
The apartments are "renovated", but with no attention to detail. In fact, when we moved in, they had just repainted! But they repainted over a dead lizard that had been living in the apartment before us. (pictured below). The smart outlets that are oh-so-cool are also hit or miss because they haven't been wired properly.
The good? The Beverly has a lenient pet policy (even though bags to pick up your droppings aren't ever stocked). It's a quiet neighborhood, despite being off OBT. And the lake it borders is home to a family of river otters! I would love to say this is a great place to live, but the company that runs it either needs to start investing in their property or start caring.
