A Smoke Heavy Apartment

Since I moved into my apartment on May 9, 2023 the whole apartment has smelled like smoke. The best offer that the leasing office did was to try "sanitize" the apartment after I moved in. The machine used not only didn't clear up the smell, the chemical used soaked into my furniture. I have tried to lesson the smell by running the ac and opening the windows and screen doors. walls but it still very pungent by the entry way, the bathroom, and walk-in closet. I signed a 14 month lease and never was given the opportunity to see the apartment before signing the contract. If I had there would have been very little chance of me going with that apartment. I have been so disappointed with the experience with this apartment complex that not only was I not made aware of the status, but have not been offered to set me up in another apartment. I feel its only right seeing that since from day one it hasn't gotten better.
