The landlord said that we would need to pay for the window screens “our cats destroyed”. The ones that were ruined from the previous tenants and never fixed in the first place. Also, he told us there would be a deduction for “losing the mail keys”. They were never lost and put in the same place as he had directed us to put them. Just keep this in mind while searching for an apartment. He is a deceitful landlord with and you most likely will not receive any of your deposit unless you take him to small claims court.
