Lived here for two years. Management changed 3x. I did not enjoy my time here at all. For starters, everything in the unit was old. Appliances had to break before they were replaced. My washer, dryer, and dishwasher all broke down at one point. The metal grab bars in my bathroom were old and rusty and they refused to replaced them. The paint in the tub was peeling and I had to fight for months to get it resurfaced. My unit also had a termite infestation because mud trails were found in a closet ...
and living room. They would send a bug man would do some sort of treatment. I’m pretty sure the building is infested with termites and it actually unhealthy and unsafe to occupy. The neighbors kids were disrespectful and would ring the doorbell about anything. One even attempted to kick in my door after I refused to let him take out my trash for money. People would also come around soliciting all the time. My car was dinged multiple times by another neighbors irresponsible children who parked next to me. I was stung by a bee because the management did not address an infestation at the back of the building for weeks. Maintenance people were incredibly lazy. They hired one quality maintenance person. His name was William, and he ended up quitting because got tired of dealing with the deplorable apartments. Pool was open maybe 4 times in 2 years. Most of the time it sat closed with stagnant green water. It was once even shut down by the city because of mosquitoes breeding. When it was open the rowdy kids would be in there without supervision. Needless to say I never used it. Only positive about Desert Eagle is the location. Public transportation nearby, lots of parks, and it is bicycle friendly. Anyone happy to live here has probably never had anything and doesn’t know any better, because this place is a dump.
