The only thing good about this place

The only thing positive I can say about this place is Jr. he is a gem and I’m glad they have someone who is attentive to prospective residents. The management needs a lot of focus and it seems they don’t care and aren’t concerned with a lot of things just from my observation. I just recently applied and it was a horrible experience that I don’t recommend to anyone.

This place seems good at first, but when it comes down to it they dont care about the back half of the complex. They do not fill work orders have to call many times to get a simple thing done. Ended up having to fix a bunch of the things on my own. The say the spray for bugs but you will never see it happen. Requested to have are apartment sprayed many times and never got done. The front office we will anything to get you to move in. They are very friendly at first when they want you to move -in. ...

Pool grounds are unkept and garbage is left around. The playground and park area also is not attended too. When you move out they will hit you with fee after fee. All in all DO NOT move here. Its not worth it.

To be fair, I lived in Estates1700 for 2 yrs. the first 1 1/2 no major problems with the place. I saw a roach or two in that time, but I figured mngt was providing pest control so, no worries. The last 6 months, those roaches began to multiply. Ingrid kept lying, saying she would take care of it. Carmen just said it was My Problem. Long story short, of course I moved, but the place was seriously infested and No one cared.

So my small family and I moved here less than a month ago and already want to leave. The main thing here is security. We live on the bottom floor, where people can obviously walk past our windows and see everything. However, our "screened" porch has rips in it that they said they would fix but haven't. Yesterday morning i had to call the police because someone was trying to open my front door with a key and yelling "let me in". Was not maintenance, he claimed he had the wrong apartment. also broke in and stole items out of my husband's work vehicle. From my bedroom window I can see taggings of a gang drawn on an electrical box. I would deal with it if i was maybe on a higher level, but due to my location i honestly live in fear that someone will break in and rob me. There is only one lock on the front door and it is poorly managed. The office rarely answers their phone. 2 of the maintenace workers are so rude, i dont feel like getting started on that. My dishwasher doesnt work, and outlets in my kitchen dont work either. Ive had several issues other than those they have taken care of but they seem bothered when i make any more complaints. Im not the type of person to write a review but maybe they'll read this and do something about the security. And if they dont i guess ill be speaking to corporate to see what i can do further to make estates 1700 an actual LIVING experience.

This place is the absolute worst apartment complex I have lived in. I HATE this place. MY APARTMENT IS LITERALLY HOTTER THAN THE TEMPERATURE OUTSIDE AND ITS IN THE 90S. Please keep away especially if you have children! my A/C is broken since 3 days ago and I have a baby in here.. I've been multiple times to the office and they keep saying there going to fix it but they don't.. it's over 90 degrees in my apartment and my poor baby can't even sleep. This place is the worst at taking care of there property! I asked and asked month after month for them to fix the muddy part on the sides of my front door and when they finally did something all they did was throw 3 little pine sticks on it! that did absolutely nothing to help! my cars rims still get extra mud in them every time it rains! every exterminate product out there and they just laugh at my face because I will never get rid of them since they reproduce in my neighboring apartments! Let me not get started on the mold! everyone that comes to visit tells it smells moldy and I can't smell it anymore but I pretty sure it must be in the walls.. I recommend staying far away from here! I lived here so that you wouldn't have to!! Oh and they think they're slick changing the apartments name every so months so that the bad reviews don't keep up with them well whatever you call these apartments they will continue to suck unless you actually do something about it!

My lease is up in one month and I cannot wait to leave. I have had roaches CONSTANTLY for nearly five months without any resolve; I maintain a clean apartment as I am not here all day everyday due to work conditions. I began to clean EVERY night when I noticed the roaches. Marquis Estates sent out Terminix (I have even been present in my home when they have come out to spray) and the roaches have gotten bigger and have multiplied. The gentleman with Terminix has even stated that after a couple ...

sprays, the roaches should no longer live in my apartment. After two months of spraying once a week, the Terminix representative began to concoct a "stronger" solution; The stronger solution did absolutely nothing. What am I to do next? I go back to the leasing office and ask that they come up with a better solution or allow me to "bomb" my apartment. Marquis Estates has refused me the resolution of "bombing" my apartment, but will not and HAVE not resolved my roach problem. I have never witnessed such horrible management. There is a well-groomed gentleman by the name of Rich that works in the leasing office and he has to be the most RUDE individual I have ever encountered when leasing an apartment. Rich has no common courtesies that an individual should posses in a customer service environment. This apartment complex has been through several waves of management in the three years I have been here and this has to be the worst one. I heard that other management teams were let go due to many residents failing to pay rent on time or at all, but does it truly make sense to replace "faulty" management with illegitimacy? Rich has come to my apartment, banging on the door and without a grin, smile, wave, or "hello" demanded that my buildings' breezeway/hallway be maintained. Rich commonly answers the phone with no regard to the person opposite the line and never sounds enthused to work at Marquis Estates. I have never written a negative review for ANYTHING (I do believe that individuals really do have bad days/seasons).Rich is disrespectful, nonchalant, arrogant and a complete waste of employment to an establishment that wishes to do better. I have attempted multiple times to contact corporate to no avail; The phone simply rings and the voicemail has been full for weeks. I truly think someone needs to take notice to the incompetency in the leasing office of Marquis Estates and conduct a transition in management. Again.

I called to get more information about the property, if they the unit i wanted was available and what was the process of applying. Of the 2 years of renting apartments I have never had to pay an "administration" fee so I was asking the guy what it was and what it go towards and he could not give me a straight, honest answer and because his answers were not making sense and I was asking questions trying to make sense of his answers about the fee and his tone became very unpleasing and ...

If you as a leasing agent and is sincerely trying to fill your units you should have a more welcoming attitude and know how to answer questions when they are being asked by potential residents instead of being rude to them. I think I can speak for most people when I say I am not trying pay to live somewhere the staff do not make their residents a priority. I advise any one who is looking into this property to beware of the staff!
