Nice area and fine building if you excuse the outdated kitchen

Close to downtown, but a big letdown.

Its extremely walkable to all downtown areas. That is the biggest plus of living here by far. The downsides are the outdated appliances and everything from the yellow, stained bathtub to the dark purple carpet has a very 'late 90's college dorm in a small town' feel to it. The unit I moved into was filthy, despite a $300 cleaning fee. I was scrubbing layers of obvious dirt and grime off the kitchen floor, sink, cabinets and wall on my first day moving in. A noticeable wet dog smell lingered ...

for weeks, coming from the carpet. (My roommate and I were told, in writing, there would be NEW carpet installed before we moved in. They then backtracked after the lease was signed and said they would only be having the old carpet cleaned) There appears to be no one who is contracted to clean the common areas of the building - the hallway and laundry room have weeks of leaves, trash, old clothing and miscellaneous garbage building up. Old furniture often sits in the corners of the parking spaces and by the dumpster for weeks at a time. I'm only 2 months into my lease and I can not wait to move out.
