Nice location, but noisy and poor maintenance response

I have lived here for about 7 months. for the most part it has been a pleasant experience: close to a lot of things, good school district, nice park within walking distance. However; I live close to the the pub/clubhouse and they often play very loud music late into the night (even on weeknights), and this is not an exaggeration it literally sounds like I'm the playing it in my living room. Even with several complaints to the office this has continued to be a problem. Maintenance is also ...

Living at Harpers Point is like living in a park! Our community is full of lovely old trees, you know, the kind that actually shade the ground. The buildings, one, two and three bedrooms are nestled around ponds full of ducks, geese, turtles and fish. Try to pick a favorite season...summer means days at the pool, relaxing with a drink in our pub, or just taking a walk in the shade of the heat. Autumn is almost breathtaking, the trees that have shaded us are now putting on a show, full of color as ...
the fall breeze makes them tumble to the ground. Ah yes, winter. Looking out my patio door onto the lake, it is so peaceful when the snow is falling and the ponds have a coating of ice. Many thanks to our groundskeepers, they make sure the sidewalks and parking lots are clear, so we all can get to work. Spring brings the ducks and geese back, they find their special place to make a nest, and a few weeks later, we have parades of families showing off their new babies! Beautiful floor plans, great leasing staff, a maintainence crew that is on top of things.This is one very unique complex, a real neighborhood. So, pick a season and come see us. I'm so glad I did!!

Great community, subpar property management

First let me say that the ladies who work in the office are fantastic. The community they have built with the residents is something rarely seen. Towne Properties however, is most comparable to a cable company or energy provider. They have realized how big they are and no longer seem to care about their perception with the renters. When it takes a month to fix a shower door, or 3 attempts to fix a garbage disposal, there is an issue. Again, the community is great, the amenities are great, and the ...

A nice mix of city/suburbs

Let's get the bad out of the way first: Harpers is owned by Towne Properties, who, despite being a huge company, still don't have great rental payment methods and take a long time for effective maintenance. Towne ownership also means high rent per sq ft. That being said, Harpers Point is a nice property in an awesome location: you can walk to one of the nicest Kroger locations in Cinci and there are great stores nearby. property too. The apartments themselves are nice, pretty new, and kept in good shape for the most part. The kitchen is a bit outdated, but serviceable. The windows are a bit outdated, which is only a big problem in the winter (heating bills are high). The people are nice and friendly for the most part, and neutral at worst, so no complaints there. It's a good mix, from young adults (who you see at the bar and pool) to families simply keeping to themselves (who you rarely see at all). It's pretty quiet, and the walls are thicker than most, so that's always a plus. The management on site is okay, but the apartments are generally in good shape so there isn't much to be said for this beyond the tour and lease signing, which were pleasant experiences, the staff is nice if nothing else. Overall, it's a good place to live, but a bit pricey. It's close enough to Cinci to be fun but far enough away to be a nice area.
